Prompt: What strategies have you and your group used to ensure that all members are actively contributing to group assignments? Explain how you communicate, divide responsibilities, and hold each other accountable throughout the process.

We ask each other if you are doing work and we make sure each of us are contributing to the work by asking each other questions on the work. If someone is not doing the work we hold them accountable and make them do some of the work too. We also continue to see if they are working.

Prompt: What challenges did your group face while selecting and analyzing sources, and how did you overcome them? Be specific about how your group communicated and worked through disagreements.

We did not face any challenges as sources were easy to pick. We communicated well and used sources that had a lot of evidence. We did not have any disagreements.

Prompt: Reflect on your research topic and identify the most compelling issue connected to it. Clearly explain what the issue is and discuss why you find it particularly interesting or important. Support your response with specific details from your research.

My research topic is Border Control and Immigration. The most compelling issue connected to it is illegal immigration. Illegal immigration is the issue of people entering the country without documentation. I find it interesting that undocumented immigrants are  important  to the work force. According to my research, it says that stricter border control causes labor shortage problems due to undocumented immigrants not being able to work in the United States of America.

Prompt: How has completing the annotated bibliography changed or clarified your understanding of your research topic? Discuss how your sources connect to one another and how they are shaping your argument moving forward.

Completing my annotated bibliography clarified my understanding of the topic by getting new perspectives on immigration and border control. My sources connect to one another by talking about the pros and cons of border control and immigration. These sources are shaping my argument moving forward by providing a variety of perspectives on border control and immigration.

Prompt: As you gathered sources, you were expected to find multiple perspectives on your topic. What differences did you notice between your sources? Explain how these differences helped you better understand the complexity of your issue.

I noticed that the sources talked about different aspects of border control and immigration such as the focus on either the political effects of immigration, US prioritizing border control, or the US needing to prioritize humanitarian responsibilities. These differences show the complexity of the US border control and immigration topic by having many issues to cover.

Think about your experience using GALILEO to find sources. How was this different from how you have searched for information in the past? Explain how using specific search strategies and evaluating sources impacted the quality of what you found.

I searched differently from how I have searched for information in the past by looking for the citations and making sure the sources I use are credible. In the past I would search for information on Google. Using specific search strategies made the information I looked for more specific and reliable.

Prompt: Political cartoons often use exaggeration and symbolism to make a point, and they can also serve as important visual sources for analysis. What is being criticized in this image? What does this source suggest about the issue, and what does the cartoonist want the audience to question or reconsider?

In this source, Trump is being criticized about only worrying about Iran attacking Israel, while ignoring ICE detaining people. The source suggests that stuff is being ignored in the world. The source wants us to question the government's morality.

Think about how you have searched for information in the past compared to what you practiced today. How is creating specific search phrases different from just “Googling” a topic? Explain how this strategy will improve the quality of your research.

Searching specific search phrases is different than googling a topic because searching a specific search phrase is more detailed and it gives you more specific answers due to being a specific search phrase. This strategy will improve the quality of my search by the research material being more in depth.

Prompt: Your research question is designed to explore a complex issue. What makes this topic difficult to answer or solve? Identify at least two different perspectives or factors related to your topic and explain why understanding multiple viewpoints is important.

The research about border control and immigration is designed to explore a complex issues due to it being very wide view of perspectives. One perspectives is that immigrants should be allowed to easily  come into the country, while another viewpoint is that illegal immigrants should be removed from the country immediately as they are breaking the law. It is important to understand multiple viewpoints to form an objective view.

Prompt: Reflect on your past experiences with research in school. What challenges have you faced when working independently or in a group, and how did you handle them? Explain how those experiences will influence the way you approach this current research project.

I worked both independently and in a group for research projects. I have not faced any challenges as  research so far has been easy for me. These positive experiences that I have had working independently and in a group will influence me by making me feel confident while approaching this current research project.

Prompt: If you could plan the perfect spring break with no limitation, money, time, or responsibilities—what would it look like? Where would you go, who would you bring, and what would you do?

I would go to Iraq  with my family and friends and I spend time with my relatives that live in Iraq. I would also tour the city. I would socialize with my relatives and do activities with them. It would be really fun.

Prompt: McCandless set out to live independently in the wilderness, but his death reveals the harsh reality of nature and survival. In your blog post, analyze how his desire for independence contributed to his death. Then, connect this idea to your own life by explaining a time when you wanted complete independence or control over a situation. Did things go as planned, or did you face unexpected challenges?

McCandless desire for independence contributed to his death because he did not allow help for his journey and wanted to be fully independent in Alaska, coming unprepared to the Alaskan wilderness. I wanted complete independence on what time I go to sleep but I could not go sleep at my desired time as my family said I had to go to sleep at 9pm.
